Guestbook Feedback from September’s Pizza Express Dean St Concert

The Dean St Concert: I had to share these incredible messages which have come in since my concert. I am so touched, so moved by the feedback that I am close to tears. Fending them off…so overwhelmed. Please read below for just a few…it may seem peculiar to some for me to share them but I just had to….I feel so blessed to sing my songs, and have the opportunity to share my stories to so manyopen hearts. Whatsmore, to touch those open hearts, what a privilege…

“Hey FREYjA, Just a little message to say that we were both blown away by your gig last night. It was a privilege to see you perform. Such a true, honest and passionate evening. You are a great artist. Lots of love, John”

“Absolutely brilliant last night, really bears out the notion that seeing people live is the measure of a true performer. Very impresed with the whole rock chick bit as well shows great versatility. Clive x”

From the parents of the children for whom I played piano at their production of Peter Pan. They had a table of 10 and all of them drove from Kent (1.5 hours) especially for the concert:
“Rebecca wow what amazing music last night, the country bumpkins from Lamberhurst Panto had a ball. Can’t wait to see you all again and please invite the trumpeter back! xxx”

“FREYjA, You’re an amazing girl!!! You make me want to pursue a career in jazz singing. Keep singing and make new records. My inspiration!!! Adam”

“You touched us in Peter Pan and now you have captured my heart with your music. Greatest fans from Lamberhurst, Sam, Pete and Captain Hook

“Such passion. I loved it.”

“You know I came here not knowing what to expect. It ended up being an amazing orgasm of sound. Loved it! Rupert

“You and your band are really fantastic. We’re having such a good evening. Thank you so much. You’re having 2 very happy frenchies in the audience tonight.

“Mademoiselle, J’adore voter voix et votre musique. Quel charisme”

“Thank you so much for a fantastic evening. I have loved every moment. Carlos Rodriguez”

Aussie Rock Songbook Interpretations

I am doing a FREYjA night of Australian Rock classics with my London band…We are going to be interpreting some mighty ‘anthems’ in swing/ latin/ blues grooves…FREYjA marries the rock edge (!!) so to speak.

The point of the exercise is to shine a bright light on the genius craft behind the songwriting of such epic hits.

We have included on our final list the artists below. Yes! there are lots missing, but this is it for now. Still, suggestions are coming in left right and centre so we are very open to ideas if you have a song by one of the missing artists below that you think could be interpreted in our style then please, give us a holler at FREYjA’s Facebook

****Divinyls ****Rose Tattoo*** ****Sherbert******* ***Christine Anu*** ***Divinyls ***Dragon ***Gangajang ***Paul Kelly** ***Ross Wilson*** **Dragon*** *Midnight Oil*** Cold Chisel ****Easybeats ****Gangajang ****Go Betweens ****Nick Cave ****The Waifs ****Yothu Yindi***Billy Thorpe***Hunters and Collectors***Skyhooks***Ted Mulry Gang

The date and venue are yet to be announced…if you want to keep up with the news then feel free to ‘like’ the Facebook (above link) and you will get all the latest updates

By the way, we are doing some teasers – I will perform four of the songs from the above list at my Pheasantry Concert on 6th June 2013!

Go in peace

Concert @ The Pheasantry Kings Rd Chelsea 6th June 2013

Yippee! We have a concert coming up. All the usual suspects will be on stage. Myself and Peter Dale on piano, Jonny Gee on bass, Luca Boscagin on guitar and Paul Robinson on drums. Will probably throw in a surprise guest, as usual, just for good measure. Stay posted!

Am also planning to throw in some jazzish renditions of a couple of Australian rock anthems, as a teaser for my Oz Hits concert, which I will be working on next year.

Book now! It is a while till our next concert (Dean St, September, see below) so we are counting on this one selling out.

Busy working on my “Mermaid Letters from Paris” novel. Just attended a masterclass with Audrey Niffenegger (Time Traveller’s Wife) in Kent which was stupendously intensive and has got me scribing in somersaults!

See you all there I hope
Ever blessed

Dream Seedlings

Hello friends,

I have received several emails asking me where I am at. So here’s the thing. My novel writing is top priority this year (there are two!) One of which is a Magical Realism novel about the power of creativity to heal. It is set in the contemporary, bohemian underworld of Paris (

I have been actively seeking an agent and publisher for several of my various literary projects. All dream seedlings must be sprinkled with destiny dust before they can bloom! Including mine and Mykey T’s Paris Bear – An Epic Road Trip which is a series of kids’ books ( All new followers receive a personalised rhyme from Paris Bear himself.

And don’t forget my poetry blog (

If my work inspires then let’s keep getting it out there! Feel free to contact me with any leads or if you have any lyrics you wish to commission me to write.

Thank you for all your support to date.
Feeling blessed.

ps. Booked your tickets for Soho concert later in the year?

Blue Beat Concert in Sydney is filling up fast

Thursday 21st June

Blue Beat +612 9328 4411

Get booked now whilst you have a chance….I wish we were doing two concerts cos I never imagined ….

If you want a table and to eat dinner then I suggest you call the venue. Otherwise just book standing room through the link and Moshtix

Had our 6 piece rehearsal…24 songs – a lot to get through and we nearly drowned in my boat on the way there but the magicians I am working with bring me to my knees, they play with such sensitive feel (and such quirk when that is what is called for)

Love to all
